Nuwan Thotawatta’s Sinhala book series Dangkara Nuto has been translated into English under the title Nuto the Curious. The Leaf Cafe, is based on the Sinhala book Gas Kema Hadaganna Heti. The series presents the curious questions that arise in the minds of children in a simple and engaging way, using a scientific perspective while staying grounded in a child’s world. The book is further enhanced with beautiful and attractive illustrations. Nuvan Thotawatta, the author, is a doctor by profession and a well-known children’s writer. To date, he has written numerous children’s books and has even received the State Award for Best Children’s Songwriter. Many of his other works have also been nominated for awards.
