Nuwan Thotawatta’s Sinhala book series Dangkara Nuto has been translated into English under the title Nuto the Curious. Nuto Gets a Puppy, is based on the Sinhala book Nutota Balu Patiyaek. The series presents the curious questions that arise in the minds of children in a simple and engaging way, using a scientific perspective while staying grounded in a child’s world. The book is further enhanced with beautiful and attractive illustrations. Nuvan Thotawatta, the author, is a doctor by profession and a well-known children’s writer. To date, he has written numerous books for children and is also a lyricist for children’s songs. Additionally, his creative works have been nominated for awards.
